Workshops


Working with other experienced yoga teachers, I arrange workshops throughout the year. These are often three hours long and are adapted for those with little or no experience or for those who have been practicing for some time. The workshops focus on specific themes and take time to develop ideas to help aid the student’s interest These include

  • Yoga for flexibility
  • Yoga for stress reduction
  • Yoga for everyday life
  • Yoga for back strength
  • Yoga for change

These workshops are fun and informal with plenty of time to ask questions, explore ideas and practice new techniques.

There is a refreshment break during which time you can chat, have a hot drink and eat homemade cake and biscuits

Weekend Yoga Workshops...

Suitable for beginners & the more experienced.

Sunday 22 January 2012:
Yoga for Self Confidence

Are you are afraid to stand-out? Do you miss out on opportunities because you don’t take the risks and try new things? Self confidence is the belief in yourself to feel good and perform your best. If you lack confidence you may feel that the life you want to lead is beyond your grasp. It isn’t. Yoga can give you the boost you need to step right into new opportunities and live life to the full.

Time:  2.00pm - 5.00pm (arrive at 1.45pm for a 2.00pm start) with a break for coffee and cake!

Venue:  Redcliffe Bay Hall, Newhaven Place, Portishead BS20 8LH

Cost:  £18 per session - includes course notes and refreshments.

Saturday 12 March 2012:
Yoga for Backs

Through activity (lifting and carrying) or inactivity (sitting at the computer or in the car) modern life takes a toll on our spine that can lead to back pain. Yoga offers ways to avoid or slow down spine deterioration and therapies to help reduce the causes and symptoms of back pain.

Saturday 26 May 2012:
Pushing your Yoga Boundaries

Would you like to go further with Yoga? This workshop will help you start to explore more deeply the physical, energetic and psychological aspects of Yoga practice.

Teachers:  Suzi Griffin & Pauline Cook

Time:  10.00am - 1.00pm (arrive at 9.45am for a 10.00am start. Finish around 1.00pm)

Venue:  Abbots Leigh Village Hall, Church Road, Abbots Leigh, BS8 3QP

Cost:  £18 or £30 for both workshops, includes course notes and refreshments

These workshops are informal informative, fun and suitable for all ages and abilities from beginners to the more experienced
